India-EU Free Trade Agreement to Boost Startups and Creative Economy: PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India’s youth are redefining courage and commitment with a Nation-First approach. Addressing the Annual NCC Prime Minister’s Rally at Cariappa Parade Ground in New Delhi, the Prime Minister said that the National Cadet Corps (NCC) is not just an organization but a nationwide movement shaping disciplined, confident, and responsible citizens.
Congratulating NCC cadets and officers from across the country, PM Modi expressed happiness over the significant increase in women cadets’ participation, calling it a strong symbol of women empowerment in a transforming India.
Referring to the recently concluded India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA), the Prime Minister said the agreement will play a crucial role in boosting Indian startups, innovation, global funding opportunities, and the creative economy. He emphasized that the FTA will strengthen India’s position in the global economic landscape.
The Prime Minister also highlighted Operation Sindoor, stating that it showcased the strength, bravery, and strategic capabilities of India’s armed forces. He stressed that the vision of a Developed India goes beyond economic growth and requires citizens to prioritize national duties and responsibilities.
During the event, NCC cadets, members of the National Service Scheme (NSS), and other organizations presented vibrant cultural performances reflecting the spirit of nation-building, social service, and character development.
The NCC PM Rally marked the grand finale of the month-long NCC Republic Day Camp 2026. A total of 2,406 NCC cadets, including 898 women cadets, participated in the rally. Additionally, 207 youth and officers from 21 foreign countries were part of the event.
The theme of this year’s rally was “Nation First – Duty-Bound Youth.” Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was also present on the occasion.
